Everything you need to know about applying to CRNA programs through SynesthesiaApply.
Getting started
How is SynesthesiaApply different from NursingCAS?
You fill out one universal profile that's reused for every program. Your recommenders submit one letter that supports every school. Documents are stored once and shared anywhere. AI helps with resume building, transcript parsing, and prose polishing.
How much does it cost to apply?
$45 per submitted application — the same flat fee at every school on the platform. Drafts, recommendations, comparing programs, and the universal profile are all free. The optional Pro Add-on ($19/mo) unlocks AI productivity tools and (soon) a reduced per-application fee for multi-school applicants.
How do I find programs?
Use the Discover Programs page (when signed in) or browse the public school directory at /schools. Pin up to 4 cohorts and use Compare to see deadlines, fees, and requirements side-by-side.
Universal profile
What is the Universal Profile?
A single set of profile data — Personal info, Education, Coursework, Test scores, Experience, Achievements, Licensures, Documents, Background disclosures, and Recommendations — that you fill once and apply to many. Each program sees only the sections you choose to release.
What is the Document Vault?
Upload your CV, headshot, personal statement, immunization records, and licenses once. Each program application can pull from the vault — no re-uploading.
How does Coursework GPA calculation work?
Add each course with a grade and credit hours. We compute cumulative GPA and science GPA automatically using a 4.0 scale. Mark transfer or repeated courses to keep the math accurate. Pro users can paste a full transcript and let AI extract every course.
Recommendations
How does share-once work?
Invite a recommender from /apply/profile/references. They get a unique link, fill out one structured rubric + letter, and submit once. You can then attach that submitted letter to any program application — no extra work for them.
What's the structured rubric?
10 standardized CRNA criteria (clinical judgment, professionalism, etc.) rated on a 5-point scale plus N/A, plus an overall comparative ranking. Schools see comparable signal across applicants without recommenders writing 5 different letters.
Can I send a reminder?
Yes — go to /apply/profile/references, find the recommender, and click Remind. We log how many reminders have gone out so you don't over-nudge.
Submitting & decisions
Can I withdraw an application?
Yes. From any program-application page, change the released sections and withdraw the draft. From Settings → Danger Zone you can withdraw all drafts at once. Submitted applications stay with the school per their FERPA retention policy.
Where do I see decisions?
On /apply/decisions — a single dashboard showing every program's status (accepted, waitlisted, in review, in progress, etc.) grouped and color-coded.
What if I get accepted at multiple schools?
We never enforce a single-acceptance rule — that's your decision and the schools' policies. We just make it easy to see all your options at once and respond to each via the program page.
Pro features
What does the Pro Add-on unlock?
AI Resume Builder (4 styles, unlimited saves), Profile Polish (one-click prose rewrite for experience/achievements), AI transcript parsing for instant coursework import, priority AI processing, and 200 monthly AI credits (vs 10 free). It's an opt-in add-on, not required to apply anywhere.
How do AI credits work?
Each AI action costs credits — resume generation costs 5, polish costs 2, transcript parse costs 5. Credits reset on your billing cycle.
Will there be a discount for applying to many schools?
Yes — Pro Add-on subscribers will pay a reduced rate ($25/application instead of $45) once that ships. The discount applies platform-wide and pays for the Pro subscription if you submit even three applications at the discounted rate.
Can I cancel the Pro Add-on?
Yes — manage it anytime through the Stripe Billing Portal from Settings → Billing & Pro. No cancellation fees, and you keep access through the end of your current period.
